Bring home a playful, interactive Cow in the Haystack Page, finished and ready to enjoy!
Part of the Farm Collection, this handcrafted 8" × 8" felt activity page features a friendly cow standing beside a golden haystack. Lift the haystack flap to discover a sweet calf hiding underneath. Soft clouds, colourful flowers, embroidered grass and stitched details complete the cheerful farm scene. The button eyes are securely sewn and reinforced with glue for added durability.
Children can lift and lower the haystack, hide and reveal the calf, compare the large cow with the smaller calf, make cow sounds and imagine their own farm adventures. These playful experiences offer opportunities to explore object permanence, cause and effect, textures, colours, size comparisons and positional words such as under, beside, up, down, hidden and found.
Lifting the flap and exploring the page’s details may also support hand-eye coordination, fine motor development, early communication, memory, observation, prediction, imagination and shared play.
A Cow in the Haystack Page Play Guide is included, offering playful activity ideas and developmental connections to help you make the most of the finished page. The suggestions begin with simple sensory and hide and seek play, then grow into comparing, conversation, and imaginative storytelling.
Enjoy the Cow in the Haystack Page on its own or pair it with other pages from the Farm Collection and add a Farm Book Cover to create a personalized farm book. Choose a few favourite activities or collect all 10 pages—the book can grow along with your child.
Recommended for infants through kindergarten. Infants and toddlers should enjoy the page with adult supervision.
